While this part might seem unassuming, it makes for a nice upgrade over the stock unit. The stock unit is an extruded and plated part and any time you plate metal you reduce its convective ability to radiate heat. Just in this aspect alone this is a better heatsink. Then there is the actual threaded bosses for the fan, you will find however the original screws are already too short from Creality, as they only extend past the fan by 1mm. So you will need to acquire longer screws, or modify the fan as I did to properly mount the fan and you have plenty of depth on the new heat sink to do so. Then there is the significant upgrade in threaded bosses for the hot end and this is again a significant upgrade of the original unit that just had some weakly threaded holes through the very thin 'wings' of the original unit. Oh ya, and you can access the hot end heat break locking grub screw from the front through the fan instead of having to pull the original heatsink off the unit to access the screw from the back. Honestly this is an extremely underrated upgrade with significant benefits over the stock heat sink and for the money, it's a no brainer! RC
