Extruder

One of the best experiences I have when an Item does not work as intended and the company stood behind its name. I was asked to try a few things, all which made sense, and once those things didn't work I was sent a new extruder. Great experience and will look at Swiss Micro when purchasing items for my 3D printer before looking elsewhere.

Ran into an issue that I can't solve at writing

I've bought two of these so far for my nearly stock Cr6SE's I have a direct drive on the other one. The installation on the first went absolutely seamless and it's back to printing like a good little workhorse, however on the second install for some unknown reason, when I set a file to print all it does, is retract the entire filament. I've calibrated the E-Steps, modified Cura, ensured that the installation was done correctly, and ensured that it will both load and unload filament to the proper amounts...I can not for the sanity of myself figure out what is going on with this machine. I can confirm that before switching the extruders it was printing as it should, this is the only modification done at this time, which would lead one to suspect that there is an issue with the extension cable or connectors.

Very nice upgrade for your Creality 3D printer.

Micro Swiss nailed it. This is probably the best dual gear Bowden extruder you are likely to find for a Creality 3D printer. The stock extruder is hot garbage on these printers and made of very cheap plastic. You will likely break the handle off at some point. You know it's a bad sign when they include a spare one in the box. This one from Micro Swiss is made to last. It has all metal construction and hardened gears which the filament will likely never wear down. It's also very easy to install and setup. The instructions are very clear and in full English because it's made in the USA. Overall, I'm very happy with it. It has improved my prints.

The Best Bowden Extruder

I have used other less expensive dual gear extruders and they all suffered from quality issues and weren’t reliable. Since the extruder is the most important part on the printer it doesn’t make sense to cut corners, so I chose the Micro Swiss model.
I have three other printers and they all have Micro Swiss direct drive extruder so when I got a new Ender 2 Pro the extruder was my first upgrade. I prefer the Micro Swiss units because they have a super short filament path, making filament loading easy, and are open, making them easy to clean and maintain. I’ve never had a problem printing flexible filaments with any of my Micro Swiss extruders and they are extremely reliable. The compression fitting on the Bowden extruder is a good example of the quality engineering that goes into the Micro Swiss units. A solid connection that won’t come loose and cause problems means I have one less thing to be concerned about with the printer.

Awesome!

I'm very happy with my new extruder. It is a million times better than the factory installed garbage.
Thank you!
