Nozzle material, plating and sizing

Brass Plated

Designed for everyday printing, compatible with wide range of printers. Brass provides excellent thermal conductivity while TwinClad XT coating offers one of the lowest coefficient of friction and protects the nozzle against wear.

Plating:
TwinClad® XT Wear Resistant Plating with Non-stick Composite Additive.

Plating Hardness: 
54 – 58 HRC

Coefficient of friction: 0.08

Wear Resistance: 
Superior hardness and pore-free deposit qualities increase resistance to abrasion wear and filament adhesive for longer nozzle life

A2 Hardened Tool Steel

High performance A2 tool steel nozzles are designed to work with the most abrasive filaments like carbon fiber filled and glow in the dark. A2 nozzles are machined form tool steel, heat treated and plated with TwinClad XT plating.

A2 Hardened Tool Steel Hardness:
62 HRC

Plating:
TwinClad® XT Wear Resistant Plating with Non-stick Composite Additive.

Plating Hardness: 
60 – 65 HRC

Coefficient of friction: 0.08

M2 High Speed Steel Plated

The M2 nozzles are designed for high temperatures, abrasion resistance and with superior non-stick properties. Nozzles are machined from M2 high speed steel, hardened and tempered to 68 HRC, plated with Electroless Nickel Plating, and coated with WS2 coating. 

The M2 nozzle can operate up to 450°C without losing the hardness.
