This is a spare Extension Cable for Micro Swiss Direct Drive kit for CR-10 / Ender printers.
The default orientation for this connector is flipped, meaning that it isn’t 1-to-1. It doesn’t matter that it is. It matters that it isn’t advertised as such.
However it is easy enough to de-pin it with a little mini flat head or the tip of a snippet. Once they’re de-pinned just reset the locking wings on the terminals, flip the connector, and twist the wires 180 and plug them in the connector. That will make it a non-flipped, 1-to-1 connection.
I ordered this on recommendation from a Facebook Friend to extend the z-axis cable on my Ender 3 V2 for the Belt Dual Z modification. This cable is the correct length to extend to the relocated Z motor location (top of the cross bar).
Thanks Micro Swiss!!!
As review states I’m on my 3rd one of these as they work well for a few months then burnout causing extruder to stop and print to fail
Make sure you put in correctly or you might have to buy a new motor
I plugged it in and realized that one of the harnesses was put upside down once my extruder was moving the wrong way. I had to rip all the wires out myself and attempt to reconnect them. It didn’t go too great but yeah, you’re best off just soldering on more wire imo.
Edit: you can actually see even in the cover image that it’s wired backwards. Just imagine plugging it into itself and you’ll see that the wires make a sort of Möbius strip. I.e. there are only two wire loops when there should be 4.
