Brilliant product, beautiful craftsmanship in the machining. Bolted straight onto my ender 3 whilst still using the stock hotend. Overall 10/10.

    Excellent Item

This is a very good back plate for anyone wanting to upgrade their bed slinger printer to a linear rail system. Absolutely no complaints. Just make sure your carriage block is MGN12H, otherwise it won't be mountable.

    Made it fit

I bought this for a Longer LK5 Pro that has been modified with linear rails and a top mounted spool holder. The extruder main frame had one extra hole drilled and tapped to mount the fan holder (one was already there) and two extra holes drilled and tappet to mount the fan cover. An aluminum bracket is being made to hold an end of filament micro switch to the top of the extruder frame. The extruder belt connection frame/ X-limit switch actuator fits well. I’ll forward photos when all the construction is done but so far this extruder is well made and a very close match to the improved Longer printer.

    Excellent product with everything BUT...

    Why a "4" and not a "5"?
No provision nor instructions for mounting either a BL or CR Touch to the standard or linear rail version. No hardware included to mount said Touch.
Not even a disclaimer alluding to this having to be a printed mount nor a link to an available ABL device from one of the many sites out there. A real disappointment.
Otherwise an outstanding direct drive upgrade, professionally machined and executed for simple and secure installing.

    Great product!

I really like this carriage. Well designed and machined. I was looking to replace my rollers on my Geeetech A30 which is pretty worn out. The original carriage is non-standard, so a complete replacement was needed. I also wanted a direct drive.
Installing the linear rail was easy. The down side was the home sensor didn't work out, but I have a Bigtreetech Mini board that supports sensorless homing and that works pretty well so far. I also had to replace the belt since it was a little too short.
I found a Satsana fan shroud remix I really like on Thingiverse. It uses a 5015 blower which works great! It will print in air for a couple inches without any issues. I did have to cut off the cable support on the one I printed. There are a bunch of remixes that I'll look through now that I can print again.
Note - if you only have 1 printer, make sure you have everything you need before you start!
I have a Creality Spider 3.0 hotend. I had to file out behind the hotend a bit for clearance. Like a mm. Just an FYI. I'm sure a normal one would work fine without modification.
I have a second printer that I'm starting to rebuild and I'm ordering another. Very happy!
