CR6-SE upgrade

Easy install to replace OEM extruder, worked flawless out of the box after recalibrating e-steps.

Works good ,difficult to thread into bowden

Every time i thread a new filament I fight to get the filament tip into the exit bowden
Tube. I often give up and disassemble the extruder to do so. I have 2 of these so its quite annoying

Difficult Install

This was a difficult mod for me. The extrude itself is a beautiful piece of machining, tough and well-made. Physical installation was a breeze. Getting the polarity reversed on the stepper motor, calibrating the e-steps of the extruder, and resetting that number many times was a challenge I was unprepared for. Still, it seems to be doing a bang-up job in the end. Only time will tell.

The extruder is good

I’m happy with the extruder however found it difficult to insert ptfe tub into the barrel, and noticed there was a small burr after passing a 4mm drill bit through by hand.
