hex heads are extremely delicate

i'll first start off by saying that i love my direct drive setup on my ender 5. my print quality has improved since switching to this system

however....

it's so incredibly frustrating when the hex heads have strip forcing me to toss out my heater block and having to destroy my new heater cartridge because a screw had become completely mangled

not only did it happen with this heater block but on the screws of your hot end as well. This forced me having to order replacement parts or find an alternative DD/hotend setup

micro swiss, i beg you to improve the durability of your screws.

for everyone else maybe reading this, ensure your using tools that wont strip your screws and be extremely careful when removing

Thermistor Screw

One of the other reviews mentioned lacking the screw that holds the thermistor. Mine came with that screw.

Great Product but one small disappointment

MicroSwiss is a great business and I was happy to see they are a Minnesota based company! I have the all metal hot end and direct drive mount and love it. However, I had to replace the heater block due to user error on a print. I needed a new bolt for fastening the thermistor and the picture of this product shows the bolt in the heater block so I assumed it was part of the kit. To my disappointment it was not. For something relatively inexpensive, I was surprised MicroSwiss didn't include the bolt. Hopefully I can find a replacement on my own. I'm sure it won't be hard to find but MicroSwiss, maybe something to include in your kits in the future or remove the picture with the thermistor bolt.

Great heat block

After destroying the threads on some cheap Creality blocks, I decided it was time to get something well made. I use a titanium heat break and microswiss A2 hardened steel nozzle, so the aluminum block is always the weakest link. But thankfully, this one worked for me. It's a little pricy, but it's nice and made in the good ole USA, which I can sincerely appreciate. I'm done with cheap Chinese parts.
