FlowTech™ Hotend for
ELEGOO Neptune 4 Plus / 4 Max

Installing this hotend on Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus and Neptune 4 Max printers is a very quick and easy process. The kit comes with a plug and play Heater Core, thermistor and a heatsink fully compatible with Neptune 4 Plus and 4 Max.
Stock z-height, build volume and firmware remains unchanged.

Upgrading your Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus and 4 Max to a FlowTech ecosystem allows you to use a full range of FlowTech, leak-proof nozzles including Diamondback nozzles that have a solid diamond tip - NOT a diamond coating.

Made in USA by Microswiss

Features:
  • Leak-Proof Nozzle:
Tired of messy nozzle leaks that ruin your prints and waste filament? FlowTech Hotend combines nozzle and thermal break into one permanently sealed assembly that ensures a leak-proof hotend.

  • Cold Nozzle Change:
Swapping out nozzles used to be a time-consuming and potentially hazardous task. With a FlowTech Hotend, nozzle changes are effortless, and there's no need for hot tightening, and you can do it with just one hand.

  • High-Flow Characteristics:
Ceramic cylindrical heater and 28.6mm melt zone provides excellent volumetric flow rate.

  • All-Metal Design:
Built to last! FlowTech hotend features an all-metal design that can handle most modern 3D printing filaments. The entire hotend is machined and assembled in-house, with quality control performed at multiple stages during the manufacturing process. At the end, each hotend undergoes a full thermal cycling test before it is packaged.

  • 300°C Max Temperature:
This hotend is rated at 300°C temperature with a properly tuned NTC thermistor for each specific printer. This particular edition is perfectly tuned for Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus and 4 Max so no firmware changes are needed.
Fits:
  • ELEGOO Neptune 4 Plus
  • ELEGOO Neptune 4 Max

This was my first time buying anything from Microswiss, despite knowing about this company for years. I usually went with buying from E3D. I guess E3D must have had better advertising?

Side-Note: I also didn't know Microswiss was an American company. I thought it was in Switzerland, cause, you know, microSWISS. XD

When I went looking to upgrade my stock hotend on my Neptune 4 Max, E3D had nothing to offer. This lead me here to Microswiss where I found this drop-in upgrade. At first I was hesitant, I had read mostly good things about this company, and a good chunk of the "problems" that I would read about were, in opinion, user errors. People not knowing how to properly calibrate and test their printers, or just dropping in a high flow nozzle, cranking the speed up, and then blaming the nozzle for clogs and under extrusion. Anyways, Microswiss had an option for my N4M when no one else did, and I didn't want to (or had time to) go and build a new toolhead so I could use other aftermarket hotends. So, I pulled the trigger on this upgrade along with a 0.6mm Flowtech CHT High-Flow CM2 Nozzle since I was working on a larger project. The new hotend and nozzle arrived a few days later, and the swap was as easy as changing out the stock hotend.

I then got to work running all my calibration prints again, and after tuning my profiles for this new hotend, I have to say, I am kicking myself for not giving Microswiss a shot sooner.

After calibrating, I found that I was able to get the same flow I had with the stock hotend at much lower temps, and the temps I had been using with the stock hotend were now cooking the filament because of the CHT Nozzle. (This is actually a good thing after tuning for it.) This meant the filament was staying in the throat of the nozzle for too long and was heating up much faster, so therefore, I could now print at faster speeds, or at lower temps. I chose to tune my setting for somewhere in the middle, so as to not stress the mechanics of the printer too much since everything else was still stock. Since installing this upgrade, and tuning for it, I have fallen in love with the Flowtech ecosystem. Sure it's simple and not a fancy as the E3D Revo, but that simplicity is actually what makes it so versatile. Plus, Microswiss has options for every printer I own, they're cheaper (but in my opinion just as good as E3D), and they offer free shipping to USA customers.

I have to say that I am very happy with this purchase, and have also gone and ordered the 0.4mm, 0.8mm, and 1.0mm Flowtech CHT High-Flow CM2 Nozzles. I will be back later to look at the Flowtech Bambu X1C and the Creality K1 Max hotends. Congratz Microswiss on 11 years of business, and I am pleased to say that you have gained yourselves another customer. Have a good weekend.

Excellent replacement for stock hotend

Replacement in Neptune 4 plus was quite easy. New hotend is more consistent in filament flow and results in good adhesion.
