Good product, but Creality messed it up

I wanna to inform all of you and pass this message through proper channels, because your Creality is messing out BOM/parts from Ender 5 Plus for EU models. In earlier versions stock Bowden Extruder stepper motor was with D shaped axis with screw lock on gear and easy to mod with this Micro-Swiss Direct Drive package. Ordered from in 2022-09 and Now it is O shaped axis with pressure mounted gear and therefore impossible for quick change. It requires to find and buy new motor. That is not fun...

    Only made things worse

Sorry to post a bad review, but my printer doesn't even work now. I converted from a homemade DD system on an Ender 5 Pro. I wanted the all-metal hot end to (hopefully) solve issues with the system needing frequent cleaning, especially after printing higher-temp materials, like PETG or ABS. The installation of the MS went well, the instructions and the videos were helpful. The parts were high-quality and everything fit well. I calibrated the e-steps, reduced the retraction in CURA 4.11 and started printing. I got what looked like serious underextrusion at first. I printed several temperature towers and ended up choosing a much lower temperature (180C for PLA) than before, unlike the instructions that recommended a higher temperature due to the all-metal hot end. I managed to get some okay results (worse than before though). I tried the same with different PLA and then PETG (Overture and Hatchbox). Half-way through the last print, the filament stopped extruding. It is clear that the system is blocked. I will have to take it apart and start again. This was the problem I had before spending the $100. Sorry, can't recommend.

Sorry to hear that the hotend is clogging. One of the main and most common reasons why all metal hotend start clogging after upgrading to the direct drive system is incorrect retraction distance. The retraction distance needs to be reduced to 2mm max. What is your retraction distance set to?

    Not sure about the price.

Setting it up is a pain, like with all other hot ends, and that's okay. But I payed a total of 148 Euros including shipping which is a lot.
The build quality is great though, everything fits perfectly.
