Transformed my printer.
However, I would say the transformation is mainly due to the swap from the old Bowden setup, which involves a 60cm long Bowden tube on this printer!
Nonetheless, the Microswiss direct extruder parts are well made and went together easily and has improved the x-carriage movement too.
I did have to buy a new extruder stepper, due to mine not having the required flat on the shaft.
Also, I found the carriage had come slightly loose after 10 hours of printing, but this might be due to the new carriage wheels bedding in. I will keep an eye on that.
Overall, this direct drive extruder has made my crappy printer into something pretty respectable and accurate and, along with my E3D revo hot end, its really good.
I can do fine Halloween prints with a standard nozzle or print a massive box with my 1.2 high flow nozzle if I want - all on the same printer.
The moving weight is much higher now so it is not possible to go fast and retain accuracy, but its not too bad. Think '1 hour benchy' kind of speed, maximum.
So, 5 star part quality, 4 star overall performance.
In summary, my printer was very crappy, now its good.
I recommend this for all Ender 5 plus owners.
